Descripción

This is a fine softcover copy with no wear at all, with the scarce specially designed bag to carry it in. The catalog and bag were designed by Shin Ikeda and Toshiko Miyoshi. The clear plastic bag has a white front panel with a clear oval near the top, this reveals the printed title of the catalog to show through. The title is also printed in clear letters at the bottom of the white front panel. Text in English. This catalog was prepared to accompany the traveling exhibition which started at the Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art in Sapporo, Japan from October 1 to November 16, 1997. The show then went to two other museums in Japan, two museums in Germany and the Corning Museum of Glass in the summer of 1998. The three curators of this exhibition were Susanne K. Frantz from the Corning Museum, Helmut Ricke at Kunstmuseum Dusseldorf, and Yoriko Mizuta at the Hokkaido Museum. They decided to invite 20 artists from 9 countries who were working with glass to address the theme of 'the glass skin'. Each artist was represented by several pieces. Biographical sketches of each artist, including exhibition history, awards. Illustrated throughout in color. 12" high X 9" wide, 149 pages. This book will be securely packed in a sturdy box and shipped with tracking.
